About Priscilla
Priscilla is currently serving as the Small Business and Entrepreneurship WG Associate for SLATE-Z. Prior to joining SLATE-Z's Operations Team, they volunteered within several nonprofits, and worked as a Youth Development Coordinator.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Priscilla fostered their love for community building and their passion for racial and social justice issues throughout their youth. They have conducted volunteer work revolving around these issues, including tutoring at their local YMCA, serving as a volunteer for UCSB's Resource Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity, as well as serving as a volunteer at the Los Angeles Mission. While serving at SLATE-Z, they hope to continue advocating for and working toward initiatives that will help those in their communities, particularly those who hold intersecting marginalized identities.
Priscilla attended the University of California Santa Barbara, where they graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Feminist Studies and Philosophy in 2021. They have a vested interest in continuing their education via graduate school, hoping to focus on concepts of mental health and restorative justice practices.
